At the beginning of the xx century the "Madrileña" Gran Via (main street) was getting built and with it ex-libris buildings of the Spanish capital, as the Metropolis building (1910) or the Grassy building (1917)... ¿aren't they just beautiful?...

Royal Palace by Night...

Also called Orient palace is the biggest royal palace in western Europe it as 135.000m² and more than 3.000 rooms...
It's construction began in 1738, work of the architects Fillippo Juvara, Juan Bautista Sachetti, Ventura Rodriguez and Francesco Sabatini; but it was not untill 1964 that the king Carlos III (Charles III) could finaly live in his new "home"...

All of a sudden it's cold... people pass from t-shirts to sweat shirts, wool and jackets... even puppy's get their dresses of the closet... (even if it looks exaggerated for the season, what is he going to wear on winter time!?... Probably is a new outfit and he/she just wanted to try it!)... summer is gone...

One of the most emblematic buildings of Madrid located in the Cibeles square is the Post and communications building 'Palacio de comunicaciones' or as most Madrileños say 'Correos or Edificio de Correos'. It dates from the early XX century and is the work of the architects Antonio Palacios and Joaquín Otamendi... Since 2007 the building is occupied buy the Madrid city town hall. Is a must see if your planning to visit Madrid...

The last 13th September Madrid celebrated the sleepless night, "La Noche en Blanco"... The were around 1.5 million people on the streets, and there was a lot of stuff to do and to see, from museums, to concerts, to street performances you name it...

Madrid - Barajas Airport

The (not that) New T4 on Madrid - Barajas Airport is simply amazing, every time i see it is just impossible not to ¡WOW!... It's the work of the Pritzker winner the British architect Richard Rogers, and it as win a lot of Architecture prizes...
