Royal Palace from Sabatini Gardens...


The Sabatini gardens were made in honor of Francesco Sabatini, architect that in the XVIII century did a great deal of works for the crown, the gardens were open to the public in 1978 and built in the early '900's in the place ocupied by the royal stables (built by sabatini). On ower day this garden is a must see for anyone visiting Madrid.

And before I forget (again) I'd like to thank Rakesh Vanamali who awarded 2 times in a row... :-)

I like how you caught this picture : the pound seems being quite closed to the building. However it is not : I can notice a hedge standing between them

No the royal family does not live in the palace but in another palace outside Madrid.

Madrid sure has a lot of magnificent buildings! It's wonderful that they have survived twp World wars and a civil war. nd they all look so well kept in your photos.
