Rowing in the Retiro Park Big Pond...

Is a common tourist, and not only, practice - Rowing in the Retiro Park big pond - theres not much to see, I mean the pond is rectangular... you can go around it and you'll see the same stuff... but well the nostalgics and romantics love the tour... :-)

as simple as rowing, i will still do it as i enjoy rowing. if you are in the Philippines, you can do the same thing in Baguio city. that's a city on top of the mountain range.

You can see this pond everyday but for readers like me, who never visted your city this place is truly great.....

So you're neither nostalgic, nor romantic! ;-D

very romantic - i'd probably make it a habit of walking around the lake on a regular baiss, as there is always something interesting to see if you look hard enough

Each great city needs such a huge place. I like the cloudy sky particularly....

well, it is a lovely, moody sky.
I can imagine kids playing with their toy boats here, much like the Tuileries in Paris.

Love the composition of the boaters so close up in the foregound against such a beautiful backdrop.

I don't mind rowing for the sake of trying it. ;)

What a picture as classical. Could not miss here. I like how you've captured the essence of the tourist.

There is something very inviting about rowing a boat out on a pond - even a small one. I think it's something that we keep from our childhood (we had to go on every paddle boat/row boat/kayak ride when my son was little).
Lovely picture with the stoic building in the background.

It makes for an interesting photo, which is something fun for your audience to see. ;-)

Funny observation! I think rowing is about being on the water, not what is around the edge!

Not that I row often:)

I love how you have people in the scene enjoying the water, makes it seem more real!
