¡Not only city!...
Madrid is not only city... I mean asphalt and buildings... Is one of the European cities with more park ratio... But if urban parks are not the ones you like the most, just follow up the Manzanares River to 'La Pedriza' in the Guadarrama mountains (just 40 min. by car from Madrid) and take a dip...

I never knew there was a jewel like this near Madrid! I mean, I knew that Madrid has no beaches because it is right in the middle of the country. But now I know that even though there aren't any beaches, there's THIS lovely River. Now I know what to do if I want some natural things in Madrid. Beautiful picture! :)
I'm tempted to say it would be beautiful if it weren't so crowded.
I'm not sure how people can sunbath on that sloping rockface.
Now that Madrid has no beach, good is a river: and clean.
What I see is that uqe crowded as the beach.

i love this place - but too many people for me unfortunately!
wow that is a lot of people on such a place. must be fun to enjoy the day with a lot of company.
