Lightstripes.

Calle Alcalá - spoken Alka-la - is one of Madrid's largest streets. It joins the citycenter with the most famous square Sol ("Sun"), and the suburbs of the town, 15km far apart from Sol. The towerbuilding in the centre of the image houses the Circulo of Bellas Artes (Fine Arts Academy). For an entrance fee of 1 Euro you can both enter in the fantastic turn of the century cafeteria and visit lots of extraordinary fine arts expositions.

We had a law professor at Stockholm uni by the name of Alcalá, a rather pleasant guy though he was years later convicted for fraud, oops...;) Anyway, this Alcalá view is exquisite, I do like the way the street lamps forms little suns in the dark and the museum and café sounds quite wonderful too!

Hi!
The picture is really beautiful.
Just one thing. The square of Sol is not the geographical center of the peninsula. It is the point where all the roads start: 0 km for every one of them in Spain.
Anyway, I love to look at your pictures of my loved Madrid
