National Library Entrance

When entering the National Library some statues bring back to your memory some of the precursors of Spanish culture, this is from Saint Isidoro. In an almost perfect day near to a building like this, and a beautiful winter light, you can't help feeling small... but happy!!!.... :-)

Answering yesterdays question:
I normally shot with a Nikon D300, my new lenses are the Sigma 10-20...
Also spectacular for interiors...I'm loving them!!! :-)

That is the most magnificent, elaborate, awesome library I have ever seen. Wow. Fantastic photo too and I love your perspective here.

Nothing to do with the Isidro family nowadays in the Spanish paper business?

I like the blue of the sky, and wish I had it here too.

It's quite different from the library below. Nice that you posted them within a couple of days. Both have their own specific qualities. I think the appreciation for this one will be more lasting and it was probably built to last longer too.

Although I do find most every lifesized or larger sculpture and statue very eerie (though fascinating), the photo is pretty and inside there's knowledge and wordy wisdom, that's comforting!

Olá companheiro!

Belíssima imagem da fachada da BNE (onde já passei dias fabulosos) e de um dos expoentes máximos da cultura ibérica: Santo Isidoro de Sevilha.

Saludos!

this is one beautiful structure. the library is already beautiful but how you frame your shots makes it even better.

love it!
it looks sunny and okay over in Madrid.

A coworker friend is from there and describes it as such a wonderful, cosmopolitan and beautiful city. I don't understand why she's in NYC!

Beautiful blue sky compliments this scene. I enjoy this angle from your viewpoint. Wide angle?
