Monument to the discover of America

It's basically a group of three huge concrete sculptures with embossed inscriptions and figures designed by Joaquin Vaquero Turcios and installed in Colombus square in 1977... Each of the "stones" as a symbolic meaning: Profecy, Genesis and Discover.

This perfect picture is just breathtaking ; with the help of the light the engraving and the different curved or flat sides are wonderfully set off against the darkness

They have lit this monument so very well. And you have taken a splendid night time photograph showing such a grand reflection. Just wonderful ...

I don't know how they look during the day but Your night picture make them look amazing... The idea of the water reflection is also a great plus!
But I guess the water had to be around if it is about discovering America!!

A fantastic massive monument that somehow reminds me of pre-colombian art. Awesome picture, Tr3nta!

The night light and the water reflection make it great, but without the carvings, the monument would be only stones.
